LetsLink recruitment is currently seeking a Theatre Scrub Clinical Nurse to join the team of a private hospital in Gauteng. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing individualized and holistic nursing care to patients, families, or the community. They coordinate patient care within a multi-disciplinary health team and use scientifically based nursing theories and processes to treat patients as physical, social, and spiritual individuals. The Clinical Nurse also uses educational and technical means applicable to healthcare practice. The Clinical Nurse's duties include but are not limited to: Conducting assessments, planning and implementing careEvaluating and recording nursing careProviding quality nursing careIdentifying problems and determining appropriate actionActively participating as a team memberActively participating in sustaining effective doctor, staff, and patient relationshipsEnsuring high-quality work standardsEnsuring that high standards are maintained in the operating theatre roomsEnsuring adherence and compliance of the Occupational Health and Safety ActEnsuring that medical stock products are charged ethically and honestly Education: Registered as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council or equivalent NQF level 7 qualificationRegistration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered NurseDiploma in Operating Theatre Techniques Work experience: 3 years of experience in Cardio-thoracic surgeryPrevious experience as a Theatre Scrub Nurse is essentialExperience in General Surgery, ENT, Eyes, Orthopaedics, General and Endoscopic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Gynea, Urology, Maxillo Facial and Reconstructive Surgery preferredSkilled in all basic nursing procedures as well as procedures specific to the operating theatre environmentStrong quality patient care orientation with capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of specialized nursing theory and practiceExtensive knowledge of modern nursing care principles and practices in the highly specialized field of intensive care nursing If you are passionate about nursing and looking for an opportunity to take on a challenging role in a dynamic and growing organization, we would like to hear from you.
