HireResolve has partnered with a young, vibrant and innovative company with both a non-life and life cell captive license and we are looking for a Reporting Accountant to join this dynamic team of professionals. The Reporting Accountant will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for the Financial Reporting for the business. Responsibilities Internal monthly financial reports and analysing variances Monthly and annual shareholder reporting packs Annual Financial Statements in terms of IFRS Quarterly and annual Prudential statutory returns Quarterly and annual South African Reserve Bank (SARB) returns Annual and provisional tax returns Monthly tax computation Overall tax compliance of the licence Annual Budget process Daily authorising of payments and cash management Peer review of reconciliations and transactions Assist with other finance related ad-hoc requests Requirements B Comm accounting degree or similar qualification Preferably CA (SA) qualification Comprehensive understanding of general ledger and financial accounting functions IFRS Accounting and reporting experience (preferably within insurance related industry) Knowledge of IFRS17 will be advantageous Knowledge and practical experience of relevant legislation Benefits .Market Related Salary Contact Hire Resolve today for your next career changing move.
