Description The Emerging Tech Analyst at the Senior Associate level in Africa Tech is passionate about technology and eager to contribute to the development of AI and XR (Extended Reality) strategies. This role involves supporting the research and analysis of emerging technologies, assisting in strategy development, and collaborating with various teams to integrate innovative tech solutions into our products and services. The Research & Development Analyst reports to the R&D Lead. Key Responsibilities Supporting research and analysis: Researching emerging technologies to support the development of innovative strategies and solutions. Compile and analyse data to support findings. Collaboration and communication: Contribute to the strategies and outputs of research initiatives under the guidance of senior analysts and other team members, ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals and industry trends. Assist in liaising with internal teams and external partners to facilitate technology integration and project execution. Market and trends tracking: Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in emerging technologies and related fields. Contribute insights for internal briefings and ideation sessions. Documentation and reporting: Prepare documentation and presentations on research findings, strategy progress, and technological insights for internal stakeholders. Project assistance: Provide support in various R&D projects or prototypes, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Continuous learning: Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in emerging technologies. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills. Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification Formal Education & Certification College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems, and five years of related work experience. Key Skills & Experience Intermediary understanding of AI technologies and XR platforms, with a keen interest in developing expertise in these areas. Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to work with data and derive meaningful insights. Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing to collaborative projects and initiatives. Good communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and presentation skills, seamlessly translating technical intricacies for business and technical stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
