Hospitality and Outdoor- New Vacancy- Reservationist 5 Luxury Group- Johannesburg, Gauteng Requirements Hospitality or Reservations Qualifications beneficial Minimum of 2 years’ Hospitality dedicated reservations experience in a similar position at a 4/5-Star environment (Essential) Proficient in reservations systems- eRes experience preferable- (BOH Experience in these systems), MS Office, MS Word & MS Excel IT skills and social marketing experience beneficial Telesales experience within hospitality environment- Great at upselling packages etc Very strong multi tasker who can handle a high volume of queries professionally Excellent command of the English Language (verbal & written) High level of telephone etiquette & excellent all-round communication skills Must be a well organised team player who is capable of working independently with initiative and must be meticulous in work performance Has experience in working with FITs, groups and events Knowledge of African destinations (eg Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique) preferable Incredibly detail oriented and organised Description Greet guests over the phone in a friendly, courteous manner (within 3 rings). Dealing with incoming enquiries regarding accommodation availability, room types, rates, etc. within the required turnaround time. Process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone and email. Actively listen and respond positively to guest questions, concerns, and explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies to callers. Verify and record reservation information accurately on the system- Accommodate and document special requests. Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations- Research the options extensively so as to upsell the property to the client Identify and record special billing instructions. Note all special requests or VIP accommodation accurately. Deal with pro-forma invoices and following-up on prepayments Responsible for online bookings (Third Party Websites). Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors and Managers Package on offer R 18 000 - R 20 000 CTC (D.O.E) Live out in Johannesburg Starting Date: ASAP
