A position has become available at the Hussar Grill , Cape Town for a Restauarant Manager. Minimum Requirements Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 Tertiary Qualification ( Studies in Hospitality – advantageous) 5 Years of experience in the restaurant industry Duties and Responsibilities Knowledge & Experience This experience should include managing a busy restaurant, handling food cost, and managing staff. Knowledge of food cost and Back of House Procedures/controls. Strong administrative qualities: The manager should have strong administrative qualities, including the ability to manage schedules, handle payroll, and maintain accurate records. Labour control: The manager should have experience managing labour costs, including scheduling, hiring, and training staff. Team builder: The manager should be a team builder, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to work together towards common goals. High standards: The manager should be hard on standards and should have a keen eye for detail. They should be committed to maintaining high levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and food quality. Guest-oriented: The manager should have a strong focus on the guest experience, with the ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant. Knowledge of meat and wine: The manager should have knowledge of meat, particularly beef, and should be familiar with basic wine fundamentals.
