Since 1981, we've been sharing the essence of both cultures through our delectable offerings and genuine hospitality. We are looking for a Restaurant Manager in Pretoria to join our Dynamic Team. 1. Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, checklists, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs followed and completed on a timely basis. 2. Ensure that all guests including hotel guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at .all times. 3. Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures. 4. Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment. 5. Compile and balance cash ups o all staff at the end of the day or shift. 6. Supervise and participate in restaurant cleaning activities. 7. Investigate and resoive complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations. 8. Control inventories including equipment and smallware, and report shortages. 9. Purchase or requisition supplies (purchase orders) and equipment needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. 10. Prepare all required paperwork, including checklists, reports, and schedules in an organized and timely manner. 11. Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service, and complete disciplinary write-ups and performance management 12. Fully understand and comply with all regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests. 13. Schedule staff as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and staff cost objectives are met. 14. Assign duties, responsibilities, and workstations to employees in accordance with work requirements. 15. Analyze operational problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems. 16. Be knowledgeable of estaurant policies regarding personnel. 17. Perform personnel actions, such as hiring and terminating staff, providing employee orientation, and training, and conducting supervisory activities, such as creating work schedules or organizing employee time sheets 18. Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals (KPl's) are followed and completed on a quartey 19. Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development. 20. Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety. 21. Clearing tables, serving food and drinks when necessary. 22. Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant's preventative maintenance programs. 23. Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services, such as waste removal and pest control. 24. Conduct meetings, serving arrangements and related tasks 25. Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers/suggestions for improvement. 26. Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant. 27. Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. 28. Ordering of products. 29. Stock-take to be done on a regular basis minimum weekly. 30. Set objectives for their staff. 31. Schedule Rosters for staff on Public Holidays 32. Setting up for functions, events and buffets. Key Performance Indicators are: 1. Stock take - Stock Shortages values - 2. Stock take - Smalls and equipment 3. Performance of weekly bar stock takes 4. Customer complaints 5. Management of staff attendance 6. Completion of all checklists 7. An effective Stores requisition system and store ledger are fully implemented and maintained 8. Bar stock recon to be done and orders to be placed accordingly. Daily stock counts to be done. 9. Event planning and execution. 10. Completing of day closing procedures. 3 years experience Own Transport Must stay in Pretoria Basic Salary R20 000-00 negotiable depending on experience Apply Now
