Responsibilities:- Opening and closing of store Store and employee time keeping
- Daily cash ups & cash control
- Daily stock control Spot counts and Game Plan counts
- Responsible and will be held accountable for store stock and cash
- Monthly stock counts
- Stock receiving & receipting
- Stock on floor balances with the P.O.S
- Follow ups completed for orders/suppliers/IBTS etc.
- Tangible reports on all stock losses/gains
- Facilitating the sales of products and services both over the counter and telephonically
- Responsible for stocking, organizing, presenting, marketing and selling of products
- Preparing detailed analysis reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and profits
- Sales / client retention and growth
- Ensuring store manager Project Boost & Sales Boost targets are consistently met
- Ensuring employees comply with companies policies & procedures
- Housekeeping and Health & Safety standards are met
- Tills stocked with sufficient float and balances with P.O.S
- Daily cash ups completed and balanced with P.O.S
- Cash ups entered correctly into cash takings book
- Cash book and safe balance at all times
- Deliveries checked and signed for
- GRVS completed correctly and receipted into P.O.S
- All store discrepancies handled timeously
- Customer quotes monitored and converted to invoices correctly
- Invoices and quotes completed correctly
- Customer relationships maintained
- Customer complaints handled timeously and effectively
- Company specials communicated with staff
- Staff customer queries monitored and evaluated
- Policies and procedures filed and updated
- Policies and procedures are communicated with staff
- Staff misconduct handled by following disciplinary code
- Serious misconduct reported to senior managers immediately
- Training provided to new staff with required support structures
Management Proficiency:
- Ensure that Attendance registers are completed, signed and checked on a regular basis.
- Ensure that shortages are investigated, and correct action is taken when necessary.
- Manage and initiate disciplinary action where required.
- Co-ordinating leave & working rosters within the store.
Requirements:- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Own transport essential
- Grade 12 certificate
- Good leadership skills
- Good working and understanding of retail and wholesale business
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Computer literate
- Good at multitasking
