Job Title: Mining Rigger SupervisorLocation: Gauteng, South AfricaIntroduction:Hire Resolve's Client are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Mining Rigger Supervisor to join their team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining operations and rigging, along with effective leadership skills. The Mining Rigger Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the rigging activities within the mining site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and achieving operational objectives.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate all rigging activities on the mining site, including equipment installations, dismantling, and relocations.Ensure that all rigging operations are conducted in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.Develop and implement safe work procedures for rigging activities, ensuring that all team members are adequately trained and equipped.Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines, while optimizing productivity and minimizing downtime.Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety hazards or operational inefficiencies, and take corrective actions as necessary.Provide guidance and support to rigging team members, ensuring strong teamwork and adherence to company policies and procedures.Collaborate with other mining department supervisors to plan and coordinate rigging activities within the overall mining operations.Monitor equipment performance and maintenance requirements, ensuring that all necessary preventive and corrective actions are taken.Prepare reports and documentation related to rigging activities, such as safety reports, incident reports, and maintenance logs.Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in rigging techniques and equipment, and apply them to enhance operational efficiency.Requirements:Grade 12 or N3 CertificateA Valid Rigger Trade CertificateMinimum of 5 years of experience in an underground and shaft mining environment, with a specific focus on rigging operations.Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a mining environment.In-depth knowledge of rigging practices, procedures, and equipment used in mining operations.Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to mining rigging activities.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey instructions, guidance, and feedback to team members.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to ensure operational objectives are met.Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and relevant mining software.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Benefits:Salary: NegotiableContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Stefnie Bestbier at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: Mininghireresolve.za.comWe will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
