Company Overview: Our client, a leading global logistics company specializing in providing comprehensive freight forwarding solutions to various industries, with a particular focus on the Oil & Gas sector is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to manage all aspects of global transportation for a specific Oil & Gas project in Africa. Position Overview: As a Freight Forwarder specializing in Oil & Gas projects, you will be responsible for overseeing all moves globally, including air, sea, and road transportation, from receiving to close-out. This is a critical role that requires extensive experience in the freight forwarding industry, particularly in managing complex logistics for Oil & Gas projects. Manage global shipments for the specific Oil & Gas project in Africa, ensuring seamless transportation from receiving to close-out. Stand in for various members of the CPT Project team when necessary. Ensure timely billing and cost recovery for each shipment and the entire project. Provide regular reports to internal and external clients. Adhere to process-oriented approaches to ensure efficient project management. Familiarize with and manage the Credit Risk Policy, identifying and mitigating possible risks within the project. Timely dispatch air freight and sea freight shipments to clients in Angola. Fulfill all document requirements associated with the shipments. Minimum 10 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry. 3 years of experience using CargoWise 1 or a similar Customs program. In-depth knowledge of forwarding, logistics, and clearing processes. Experience working in Africa and familiarity with the various required documents is an advantage. Diploma/BCom is advantageous. Proficiency in computer packages such as Cargo Wise, C2C, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Market Related: Negotiable
