Reference: SW004693-AM-1An established manufacturer based in Strand has an exciting opportunity for an experienced roof designer. Responsibilities and task will include but are not limit to the following: Design conceptualization based on client requirements, architectural plans and engineering considerations Structural Analysis to ensure that the proposed roof design can withstand loads Selecting appropriate roofing materials based on various factors. (durability, cost, aesthetics) Ensuring roof design complies with local building codes, regulation and zoning requirements Incorporating energy-efficient and sustainable design principles into your roof designs, such as proper insulation, ventilation, and the use of suitable materials Collaboration with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the design and manufacture process to ensure that the roof design aligns with the overall project goals and meets client’s expectations Documenting detailed drawings, plans, specifications and other relevant materials relating to the roof design in orderly and neat manner, as well as presentations to communicate your design concepts effectively to clients and project teams. Troubleshooting and resolving any design challenges or issues that arise during the design and construction phases, using your expertise to find practical and innovative solutions Preparing of job cards that contains necessary information as required by the factory Ensuring quality assurance during the manufacturing process to ensure that specifications, quality standards, and best practices are followed Staying updated on emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in roof design through continuing education and training programs Skills required: Adaptability – Roof designers often work in dynamic environments where priorities can shift quickly, being able to adapt to changes and remain flexible is essential Pamir designing program (or similar) Strong verbal and written communication skills Able to manage multiple tasks Time management Problem Solving Attention to Detail Office 365 and computer literacy.
