Vertical Logic, a leading local services contractor, is seeking proficient individuals for the position of Rope Access Level 3 Technician with project management experience for offshore operations. This role requires advanced rope access skills, project oversight, and the ability to lead teams effectively in offshore environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive offshore experience and project management expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage rope access projects in offshore settings, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety protocols
- Oversee rigging operations, equipment setup, and technical tasks associated with rope access projects
- Conduct pre-project planning, risk assessments, and method statement development for offshore operations
- Coordinate with clients, project stakeholders, and safety representatives to ensure project objectives are met and safety standards are maintained
- Supervise rope access teams, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to technicians
- Perform advanced rope access tasks independently and assist in complex rescue operations as needed
- Monitor project progress, budget allocation, and resource utilization, and report updates to management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies in all aspects of project execution
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, identifying and addressing project challenges effectively
- Uphold professionalism, customer-centric focus, and commitment to quality standards in all project activities
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Extensive experience in rope access techniques, with advanced proficiency as a Level 3 technician
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
- Excellent leadership abilities, with a proven track record of successfully managing teams in offshore environments
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and emergency response procedures
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders
- Project-specific technical skills such as welding, rigging, NDT, confined space, standby rescue, and other relevant disciplines
- Offshore certifications and clearances including UKOG Medical Clearance, OPITO Offshore Survival Certification, Seaman's Book, Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, COVID-19 Certification, and TB Test Clearance
Basic Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Rope Access Level 3 Technician with demonstrated project management experience in offshore environments
- Proficiency in advanced rope access techniques and certification as a Level 3 technician
- Ability to lead teams, manage projects, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and excellence in project delivery
