Security and Emergency Specialist - Durban MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Matric and Policing Diploma / Fire Technology Diploma/Degree or equivalent MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 5 years MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Identify, analyse, record crime trend in the area including potential events that might affect the company business by proactively identifying and analysing risks, threats and recommend counter measures to prevent events. SAPS involvement - Develop a working relationship with all key persons within the SAPS environment (sector members, sector commanders, CPF, station commander) including Security Service providers. Emergency Preparedness: Assess potential risks and vulnerabilities, conduct risk assessments, and create comprehensive emergency response plans tailored to different scenarios. Technologies: Evaluate, implement, and manage security and Emergency preparedness technologies such as access control systems, CCTV, alarm systems, and fire protection/ prevention safeguards. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and industry best practices. MINIMUM CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS Psira Registered and Law enforcement background. Knowledge and experience in co-ordinating and execution of requirements. ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 knowledgeable. Organisational skills, teamwork, technical capability, computer skills, safety, and environmentally conscious and coaching capabilities. A good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Safety Act. Salary market related.
