Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct site assessments, inspections, and audits.
Facilitate SHE meetings and implement recommendations.
Develop safe work procedures and collaborate with operations.
Analyze self-assessment reports and recommend interventions.
Promote health and safety through programs and training.
Coordinate audits, surveys, and inspections.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
Monitor workplace conditions and conduct training exercises.
Prepare and review Project safety files.
Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Grade 12
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental.
6+ years in safety, health, and environmental management.
3+ years in a Safety Officer role in the petroleum industry.
SACPCMP Safety Officer registration.
SAOISH GradSAOISH registration advantageous.
Engen Petroleum or BP Southern Africa experience preferred.
ISO 45001 Lead/Internal Auditor certification advantageous.
Proficient in English, computer literate.
