DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct physical condition inspections as per schedule to ensure optimal safety performance management Control and manage the safety and hygiene of the workplace at the project Ensure that the physical visibility of workers is according to the requirements and standards of the respective project/ operating unit at which the project is performed Conduct actual investigations (only damages, MTCs, FACs, near misses and non-conformances) f inalising report and getting signoff and copies of associated docs Co-ordinate the Emergency drills and conduct Internal audit in respective areas ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: National Senior Certificate SAMTRAC or COMSOC 1 & 2 National Diploma in Safety Management Certificate of training in OHSAS 18001 System Auditing or integrated internal auditing would be advantageous Legal liability and A2 EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS: At least 2 TO 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer in the mining environment Must possess a valid driver's license (Code 8) Passport 360
