The position reports directly to the Financial Manager: IT/IS and will be responsible for translating business objectives into system requirements as well as implementation and training. The position is based in Wellington, Western Cape. Purpose of the role • Manage the Sage X3 system with external partners to ensure system availability, stability and performance • Manage 3rd party suppliers (Sage/SQL) to ensure service level agreements are adhered to • Maintain Sage X3 authorisation and access control reporting • Manage change control process for enhancements and new developments on Sage X3 • Provide support to users with business transactions and reporting (Sage X3 and SDA) • Assess and identify areas for improvement in the company’s present business processes on Sage X3 • Modernize systems by investigating and evaluating new IT developments • Implementation of Sage plans and projects Education • Relevant Moualification in project management and processes • Bachelor’s degree with business focus or sciences will be advantageous • SQL certification will be advantageous Experience • Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in Sage X3 • Experience in design and writing of reports in Sage Data Analytics (SDA) will be advantageous Technical competencies/Professional expertise • Commercial Awareness • Continuous improvement skills • Ability to conduct training on implemented processes • An understanding of how IT can be used to resolve problems or capitalize on opportunities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels of an organization Behavioural competencies • Time management and organisational skills • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Proactive and solutions driven
