Our client, based in Brooklyn, is a consulting firm specialising in the field of local economic development. They require a professionally qualified Accountant to assist them with the preparation of financial records. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. Ensure accuracy and completeness of reports and records. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis. Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement and operations, to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Provide financial advice and guidance to management, helping to inform decision-making processes. Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and best practices. Any other Ad-Hoc duties required by direct manager. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields. 3 years of relevant experience in the financial sector SAIPA Articles completed Own vehicle and a valid Driver’s License (Code B) Fluency in English and Afrikaans NOTE: We ONLY accept online applications.
