Sagen Advisory is currently sourcing SAIPA Trainee Accountants for the 2023 intake for highly reputable Assurance, Accounting, and Consulting firms in the Western Cape and Garden Route areas. This SAIPA Trainee Accountant intake for 2023 is an excellent opportunity for graduates wanting to obtain a training contract with well-established, reputable, and rapidly growing assurance firms, where they will receive excellent training and experience. The ideal candidate will be a graduate/postgraduate who has completed an Accounting/Auditing degree at a SAIPA/SAIPA-accredited university . The firms are looking for a self-confident individual with a completed accounting degree, who likes to work as part of a team, but is also willing to take initiative and is capable of working independently. Indicative Duties and Responsibilities: Produce client reports. Perform accounting work. Administrative duties. Full bookkeeping and accounting function up to trial balance, including debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals, etc. Handling of VAT and PAYE reviews. Invoicing and debtors’ collection. IRP5 calculations, reconciliations, and submissions. Liaison with clients. Maintenance of SARS accounts. PAYE/UIF/SDL calculations and EMP201 submissions. Registration and deregistration for Income Tax, PAYE, VAT, and Import and Export licenses. Tax clearance applications. UIF registration and administration. VAT calculations and VAT201 submissions. WCA registrations, submission of returns, and arranging letters of good standing. Qualifications and experience: BAccounting, BCom Accounting, BCom Management Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or equivalent. Computer literacy. Ability to work in a team. Excellent attention to detail. Driver’s license and own transport.
