Cedar Wood Recruitment is now recruiting for a Sales & Reservations Executive at the Johannesburg office of an international portfolio of exclusive lodges. The Sales & Reservations Executive will undertake reservations activities on behalf of the Company specifically focusing on properties located in Southern and East Africa. The Company’s lodge operations are highly professional providing efficient guest experiences within a fun-loving and outgoing atmosphere which is typical of the group. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Travel will be required on ad hoc occasions. The official office hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday however you would be required to work adhoc weekends and public holidays. Time off in lieu would be given for working ‘out of office’ hours. To be considered for this role, you must have the right to work in SA. Key Performance Areas The role of the Sales & Reservations Executive will be to undertake reservations on behalf of the Company’s South and East African properties with the following key responsibilities: Logging and responding to enquiries and making reservations for relevant lodges Ensure reservations are handled in accordance with Company minimum standards for turnaround/confirmation and follow up Issuing invoices, following up and receipting payments for reservations Book internal flights and road transfers for guests as required and other ad hoc 3rd party services Requirements: Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent command of the English language Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role with specific reservations experience in lodges and/or booking East Africa Excellent inter-personal skills Excellent computer skills Excellent sales and negotiation skills Excellent presentation skills Excellent financial awareness and skills Personal/Professional Attributes Committed to service excellence and guest satisfaction Has passion, pride and ambition Proactive and committed to the interests of the Company Flexible manner and willingness to learn Works under own initiative Team orientated and a team player Works well under pressure and naturally goes the extra mile Able to multitask Plans and organises effectively Team orientated Flexible manner and willingness to assist Strong, fun-loving and warm personality Attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy Works well under pressure Assertive and proactive Willingness to learn Remuneration and Package Competitive Salary Incentive bonuses Permanent Employment (Subject to 3-month probation) Hybrid working: at least 2 days per week in our Rivonia (Jhb) office 50% Company Contribution on Medical Aid 7.5% Company Contribution on Pension Fund and life assurance 18 working days leave Additional day off for your birthday and a paid day off to support the charity of your choice Gym membership Discounts on Company products The chance to visit and experience our wonderful properties Fun and relaxed working environment NB: Please regularly check email INBOX and SPAM folders for an interview invitation should your application be viewed favourably.
