Sales Engineer East Rand Market-Related Salary Purpose of Role: The position reports to the Sales Engineer and is responsible for selecting, quoting, troubleshooting and promoting all pumps and Valves products to domestic and international sales channels. All activities will be focused to expand Pumps and Valves product market share into key growth markets in Africa. Achieve project objectives by compiling project proposals; conferring with management. Brief Description of the Position: 1. Prepare engineering proposals 2. Interaction with clients confirming needs and requirements 3. Review the status of deliverables and initiate corrective actions 4. Assist customers with feasibility studies 5. Coordinate activities ensuring timely completion of projects 6. Establish new and maintain existing client relationships 7. Record and maintain client contact data 8. Support marketing functions i.e. attending trade shows etc 9. Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education 10. Site evaluation and pump installation problem solving 11. Compiling tender documents 12. Comply with and enforce all policies and procedures 13. Assist fellow employees with daily functions as and when required 14. Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time EDUCATION: Technical and/or Commercial Degree/Diploma (Minimum NQF 6) EXPERIENCE: 5 Years of experience in Project Sales REQUIREMENTS: API and chemical pump knowledge Pump selection and application knowledge Engineering sales experience Complete and finalize tender documents Key account responsibilities
