To plan and expedite the external processes i.e. heat treatment, fettling and machining are carried out and record kept of outsourcing. These records need to be given to the Planning and Expediting manager to be saved on the shared drive and visible to all relevant stakeholders/Head of Production. Provide weekly updates on the planned delivery dates of Purchase orders for each customer assigned to them or requested by the planning and Expediting manager. Each Expeditor will update the planned delivery sheet of Open Purchase orders which will be controlled by the Planning and Expediting manager. Provide feedback to Sales manager and Sales team on potential late orders and delays. Maintain and develop relationships with customers as well as ensuring all sales targets are met. Key Performance Areas (List the main functions of the job) Sales and Production Achieve on time delivery of purchase orders. Ensure thorough knowledge on products. Maintain regular customer feedback (internal and external) Maintain record of all outsourced procedures (Heat treatment, Machining and fettling) Develop good understanding of customer needs. Follow up on castings casted vs. reported. Ensure information is given back to Sales and Production teams Follow up on Production plans (quantities produced) Vs. Open orders and outstanding components. Ensure production plans meet customer requirements. Provide weekly planned delivery dates of open orders assigned to a Expeditor Customer Service Assist customer pro-actively Provide open lines of communication Provide feedback and resolve outstanding orders Implement quick responses to customers Resolve customer complaints effectively Develop good understanding of customer needs Assist the customer with returns, account queries and general queries Sales admin/reports & meeting Attend sales and production meetings. Interactive in sales meeting Update report on global drive as required Planner/Planning Plan and prioritize heavy and medium moulding to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Give delivery dates to Client and ensure they will finish on time. Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption. Quality control Keep scrap to a minimum. Collaborate with Anneline and billy to ensure planning is equivalent overall. Manage Sales Expeditor team Over see team performance Ensure reports , communication are given by expeditor Minimum Qualifications Senior Certificate (Matric Grade 12) Preferred Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications Minimum Experience (Practical on the job experience) 2 to 3 years of experience in the Foundry Industry Preferred Experience 4 years’ experience in Foundry Industry Key Competencies Knowledge (What must I know)Proven sales history Foundry markets Customer and sales function Pricing of castings (tons/ weight) Apply Now
