We are currently seeking a highly experienced, qualified and adequately skilled Sales Manager with a proven track record of measurable sales success in the Automation space. The Sales Manager will be based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Typically, you are a data driven sales professional, a highly motivated self-starter with excellent business acumen and gravitas. You have a thorough understanding of what it takes to execute a sales campaign from business development to closure to after sales support and you are well experienced in managing and satisfying strategic customers whilst motivating and directing the efforts of the teams around them. • the development and growth of a pipeline of opportunities for Mine machinery Automation within our existing and future customer bases, with the ability to cold call and prospect to achieve pipeline goals • a shared drive to pursue new business and sales opportunities for the sales team within and outside the Republic of South Africa. Absolute Must Have's The below points will form part of deep dive questions during interview 1. Strongly data driven and analytics focused 2. Formal tertiary qualification in a related preferably a technical field is required. 3. Experience in Mining. An understanding of surface and underground mining fundamentals. 4. Ability to travel 50% of the time 5. Experience in field business development and cultivating the mining market throughout this region 6. Familiarity with predictive & prescriptive maintenance and reliability risk assessment preferred. 7. Familiarity with automation solutions within an engineering field 8. Able to handle a mix of new business activities including prospecting with long term account planning and management of a small number of key accounts 9. Experience working with partners in potentially complex sales cycles 10. Fast learner and self-starter comfortable in a new and non-structured environment. 11. Self-discipline and motivation to produce results with indirect supervision. 12. Proficient at establishing and cultivating "C" level consultative relationships. 13. Excellent written and oral communication skills Desirables 1.
