Reference: DBN002542-JB-1 Seeking a dynamic and experienced Footwear Sales Merchandiser to join a leading Footwear Supplier to the major fashion retail chains. Based in Durban. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with buyers/retailers on seasonal ranges. Build and nurture relationships with retail buyers and decision-makers. Understand their business models, target audience, and preferences. Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely delivery of our products while maintaining quality standards. Monitor market trends and innovations to suggest new products that align with design visions and sustainability goals. Analyse sales plans, budgets and forecast across customers. Foster strong relationships with suppliers, working together to ensure a smooth supply process. Requirements: Min 3-5 years' experience in sales/merchandising/product development within the fashion/clothing industry. Min 3-5 years' experience dealing with fashion imports. Familiarity with properties and production processes of any of the following: clothing, footwear or accessories. Must be willing to travel potentially locally and abroad. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Good with numbers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Competencies: Must be sales driven and be able to close deals and trade. Exceptional technical merchandising skills. Proven ability to interpret trends. Proven ability to conceptualise product. A passion for product environment. Energy. Innovative.
