Our client is currently recruiting a Sales Representative for Centurion. We are looking for a Sales Rep with Construction Industry work experience, to build sustainable relationships and strategic contacts within the building industry, i.e., Architects, Developers, and Quantity Surveyors to maximise market advantage. This role could be a good fit for a Junior Architect or Junior Project Manager wanting to move into a sales role. Must have strong communication skills, passion for sales and negotiating. Natural talent in nurturing and building lasting relationships with Architects, Sub-Contractors, Developers, and Quantity Surveyors in the building and construction industry. Main Job Purpose The Sales Representative is responsible for growing sales, developing long-term customer relationships, and building the company brand within the designated region of operation. They will perform subsidiary marketing-related, sales-operational, and administrative tasks, in conjunction with the Sales Manager, Technical Marketing Manager, Regional Business Managers, Technical Operations and Sales Staff, as well as Manufacturing and Financial staff at the Factory. The candidate would have experience with the following duties: Responsible for identifying opportunities for and growing sales of company products within the designated area, particularly to key clients, potential key clients, and large-volume projects. Responsible for achieving sales volume targets. Assist North Sales Manager with administrative and operational tasks, as delegated. Assist with marketing events, such as Expos and CPD presentations. Train contractors and assist with the resolution of any quality complaints. Provide training and technical support to external sales such as builders merchants, with regards to correct selling, specification, and installation of products, in compliance with SANS 10400 XA, and other relevant legislation and standards. Liaise with Regional Business Managers regarding marketing and sales issues, and items raised by the Quality Assurance system. Execute the Regional Business Manager's plans with regard to possible future business development options, including direct supervision of staff, as required. Supply weekly reports with potential projects, updates on projects that were specified as well as market research. Provide Market Intelligence related to the Building Industry to Business Manager North. Liaise with the build sustainable relationships and strategic contacts within the building industry, i.e., Architects, Developers, and Quantity Surveyors to maximise market advantage. Provide specifications expertise and advice on the advantages of the company product portfolio, communicating the value proposition to the customer. Identifying new opportunities and projects for enhancing specifications. Advise on Bills of Quantities. Assist with written project specifications when the product is specified. Following up on customer requirements relating to specifications provided, especially relating to delivery. While in the office, assist with walk-in customers. Matric with at least 3 years of experience as a Sales Representative within the building and construction industries. Apply Now
