Sales Representative - Photographic and Optics
The incumbent will be accountable for growing existing business and developing new business opportunities. An ideal opportunity for a pro-active and professional individual with exceptional relationship management skills and a passion for sales
PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administering all day-to-day activities on existing customer accounts.
- Establishing and maintaining a productive communication between the client and the company.
- Attending client meetings, taking orders and providing accurate feedback into the business through the appropriate channels.
- Working closely with the telesales, procurement and distribution departments to ensure delivery to client.
- Supporting the administration departments to ensure that clients meet their obligations (e.g. payments and other).
- Pro-actively analyze customer requirements and provide recommendations that leads to securing additional business.
- Keeping abreast of industry developments and technology in order to add value to clients and create opportunities for the company (cross selling, selling to, with and through).
- Achieving account management targets
- Knowledge of high-end cameras and lenses
- Compiling a plan, through analysis of the marketplace and industry trends, to support the acquisition of new business.
- Cold calling to set up appointments with potential new business clients.
- Actively pursuing leads brought into the company and qualifying.
- Developing relationships with potential new clients.
- Assessing client needs and responding accordingly.
- Closing new business.
- Achieving new business targets.
- All associated administration.
- Knowledge of high-end cameras and lenses.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Matric - Essential
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification - Beneficial
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)- Essential
- Drivers License (and own transport) - Essential
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience with proven track record - Essential
- Previous sales experience with proven track record - Essential
