Your mission will be to: Merieux NutriSciences has a vacancy for a Temp Sample Receiver at its Cape Town Micro Laboratory. The Sample Receiver is the first point of contact for samples arriving at the Laboratory for testing. Main responsibilities include : Receival of samples from couriers/drivers/clients, etc and making sure the integrity requirements for the samples are met before the samples are logged. Ensuring that all the necessary paperwork accompanies the samples required for logging the samples for analysis. Sorting the samples and checking the samples against the paperwork received to ensure the samples are logged in the shortest time possible. In the event where discrepancies are noted, the sample receiver will liaise with other departments (finance, customer service, etc) and store the samples at appropriate temperatures until the query has been resolved and the sample(s) can be logged. Issue consumables (swabs, bottles, etc) and ensure the necessary documentation is completed for the items issued Assist with the arrangement of courier deliveries and collections (including drivers) MInimum Requirements for the position: Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) Previous experience in a micro laboratory environment would be considered an advantage Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills as this position requires the employee to liaise with internal but also external stakeholders Experience on CRM / LIMS would be an advantage This person must be able to prioritize, multitask and have a hands-on approach to problem solving Must a team player and able to work well within a group Must be able to work well under pressure, handle heavy workload and time pressures of a commercial testing laboratory Ready to apply?
