2024-02-27 - 2024-03-22 Permanent JHB009061 IT Gauteng, Midrand (Negotiable) 0070_SAP Specialist – ABAP and Release Management (Advanced) Location: Gauteng Contract Term: 01 April 2024 – 31 December 2024 ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Must have completed 2 end-2-end implementations of SAP4HANA initiatives. Proven experience in leading and coordinating SAP implementation initiative from a technical perspective. Proven experience in planning and leading a SAP upgrade initiative Project and Start-up Management. ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: SAP Technical Administration. Incident and Request Management. Change Request Management. SAP Technical System Monitoring. Project and Start-up Management. SAP Transport Management. Problem solving capabilities. Working with Jira and Confluence Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to work interdependently as well as independently and to submit deliverables on time and with excellent quality. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users. Strong ability to understand and interpret business needs and requirements with an aptitude to move concepts through to proposal and successful implementation. Strong presentation skills Above-board work ethics Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project. Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required. Willing and able to travel internationally QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Extensive SAP knowledge – practical system knowledge of at least 4-6 years. Solid experience of Project Management methodologies in an SAP environment. Proven experience with SAP system health checks, dump/trace analysis and monitoring tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively articulate and communicate the pros and cons of creating a SAP Solution to solve a specific business need. RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for planning and executing SAP rollout initiatives from a technical perspective (SAP4HANA implementation and Upgrade initiatives). Co-ordinate activities and provide the interface between SAP platform team, release management and development team. Responsible for startup management.
