Sasol Careers: Project Manager - South Africa
Purpose of the job: To manage a team responsible for the execution of capital projects through all phases as per the Sasol business and implementation (BD&I) model. Job Requirements: Qualifications and expertise required (Must) -BSc / B.Eng or equivalent qualifications as a minimum -Working Knowledge of PMI / PMBok Specific experience required -At least 10 yrs relevant Project Management experience Embedded knowledge and application of project execution fundamentals Required outputs: Functional -Ability to manage projects from inception to completion -Competent in different project execution strategies -Competent in different contracting strategies, i.e. LSTK, EPC, EPCm, etc -Competent in estimating and cost control -Competent in SHERQ requirements on projects -Competent in construction management principles -Competent in problem solving, negotiation and facilitation in a project environment -Competent in the application of the BD&I, PMBOK, NEC3, etc -Understand the total value chain of business on projects -Working Knowledge of industry typical stage gate project execution principles -Lead and direct project execution members in different areas General -Good communication and presentation skills (written & verbal) -Good interpersonal skills -Sound management judgement and awareness -Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationship with all stakeholders on a project -Ability to establish and lead diverse project teams -Ability to motivate and lead direct reports and project teams -Establish and maintain good working relationships with Business and Operations partners. -Accept full responsibility and accountability for required outputs. -In-depth knowledge & experience of Sasol governance systems Personal Attributes Personal Attributes: -Proven leadership skills -Ability to work in a team -Robust emotional intelligence -Reliable and trustworthy -Proactive and self-starter -Ability to work within a diverse culture -Ability to work under pressure -Ability to work in a changing / unstructured environment Apply Online Closing Date: 19 November 2012 Business Unit: Sasol Synfuels Location: Secunda, Mpumalanga, South Africa Reports to: Divisional Manager Projects Job Type: Level of Experience: 10 to 12 years
