ENVIRONMENT: A dynamic family-owned Agricultural business in Tarlton is seeking a Process Controller to operate and monitor the mixing of the juice and all the equipment involved, this includes checking Ph, Brix and juice quality are to standard. You are responsible for coordinating with the receiving operator and Filler supervisor on timing, volumes and problems during the juice making process. You are responsible for making sure the machinery is cleaned properly using the automatic CIP system. You will also be expected to maintain the job card costing and reports. The essence of your job is to ensure the juice is of the highest quality by adjusting settings and being attentive to how the machinery is behaving. You are responsible for everything that could jeopardize the run (air, water, steam, electricity, cleanliness, taste). Your essence is to monitor everything in the hopes that a problem can be avoided. DUTIES: Supervisory Responsibilities: Juice Receiving Operator Forklift Driver Duties and Responsibilities: Operate and Monitor the Juice Mixing process using the SCADA system on the following equipment: Cooker (just settings & monitoring) Decanter (just settings & monitoring) Evaporator Mixing tanks Acidifier All other machinery (CIP only) Monitor all utilities (air, water, steam, electricity) Test and evaluate. Ph, Brix and juice quality Co-ordinate with the Receiving Operator and Filler Supervisor on the following Start times and Juice volumes. Breakdowns and delays Raw product rate adjustments and changes Operate CIP System Job Card costing and reports. REQUIREMENTS: Good mechanical acumen Good automation expertise Sound understanding of SCADA systems. Valve, pump and motor knowledge. Food technology understanding Excel and outlook understanding Food safety understanding Knowledge of sterilization and CIP procedures Education and Experience: Food technology degree or diploma Any engineering degree or diploma SCADA experience Experience working in a juice manufacturing factory ATTRIBUTES: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to communicate effectively. Quick decision-making skills to address production challenges promptly. Adaptability to handle unexpected situations. Good Discipline and attention to detail Ability to handle stress.
