Our client is looking for an experienced Security Manager to be based at their Coal Terminal, in Richards Bay, South Africa. ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client stands as one of the largest coal export terminals globally, serving as a crucial link within the South African coal export network. JOB SUMMARY Our client is looking for an experienced Security Manager to spearhead the implementation and upkeep of a streamlined security system. The role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks to minimize losses across our clients operations. Responsibilities also include overseeing the development, documentation, implementation, and monitoring of security protocols, policies, and standards. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Security Management/Risk Management Experience in professional security related fields 4 years of managerial experience 4 years of crime investigation experience and a solid understanding of the investigation of all on-site crime related incidents. JOB DESCRIPTION The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:- To manage and lead Security Risk Management at RBCT; To provide expert advice and consultancy to RBCT Management on the implementation of security operational plans in line with RBCT’s broader business plans, and to ensure effective contingency plans are in place for crisis situations; To implement and manage sound security practices and measures, and compliance with applicable national legislation and international standards; To facilitate, monitor and ascertain the implementation of maritime security measures and procedures in compliance with the International Ship and Port Security (ISPS) Code, the Merchant Shipping (Maritime Security) Regulations 2004 and other related maritime security legislation and arrangements; To research and monitor security indicators and trends in the organization, and stay abreast of applicable worldwide best practices and regulations ensuring that the business is not exposed to security risks.
