Purpose of the Job: The Security Operations Manager will report to the General Manager and serve as a member of the Senior Management Team. The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to ensure organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the Organization's Security Operational functions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : • Enforce the Company's Disciplinary ‘Code of Conduct' • Adopt an initiative geared towards Integrated Operational Excellence • Improve the operational systems, process and policies in support of the Organization's mission, specifically, support better management reporting, information flow, Client relations and organizational planning • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the allocated Operations team • Coordinate and communicate between support Departments, Operational Teams and Clients • Ensures that all Security Services personnel are operating and performing their duties according to the Site Job Description • Lead and manage the on-site training and recruitment functions of Security Services personnel to ensure that the Clients operational needs are met • Implement effective controls and monitoring Processes • Participate in site Investigations and report on findings • Responsible for efficiencies within area of operation i.e., Leave, Rostering, Spares • Responsible for overseeing Compliance Officers visits to sites within area of operation • Responsible for weekly firearm Inspections within area of operation • Responsible for ensuring that the invoicing to the Client is in line with the services provided • Proven track record in client relationship management – How will you be client facing to deliver service • Be able to tailor-make security solutions for clients • Grow the business – Upselling, new sales • Be able to conduct quality risk assessments and draft mitigating security actions, recommendations and solutions as a result of findings MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Matric Certified • PSIRA Grade B Registered • Solid Computer Proficiency • Driver's License Code 08 and own reliable vehicle is compulsory • 5-10 years of direct Management experience in the Security Industry • Risk Assessment and Site Survey experience • Strong background of Health and Safety environment • Firearm Competency (Handgun, Rifle and Shotgun) • Estate Management experience will be highly advantageous • Security Management/SHEQ Qualification will be advantageous • Knowledge of the Security Industry regulations including Operational and Client requirements • Have sound knowledge of security pricing • Proven record of staff management, training, development and upliftment • Must be available/contactable for operational requirements at all times COMPETENCIES : • Excellent People Management skills • Proven negotiation and influencing skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards within a diverse workplace • Strong commitment to service and quality standards as well as Client Satisfaction • Demonstrated experience in coaching, motivating, developing and leading a professional Team • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects • Flexible and collaborative work style including commitment to get required output and resolving operational problems timeously Basic Salay Vehicle Allowance Fuel Subsidy Cellphone Subsidy Provident Fund
