WORK SCOPE: In the main, insurance claim assessments relating to the below products, ranging from theft to physical damage, power surges (Load shedding and lightning strikes), etc. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Troubleshooting / fault-finding of the following and accurately reporting thereon:· Gate motors – all makes, models & types (sliding / swing / actuators);o Gates – incidental damage. Rack, wheels, guides, etc.;· Garage door motors – all makes, models & types (tip-up / sectional / roll-up);o Garage doors – incidental damage from the garage door motor packing up, e.g.: overstretched/broken springs, overstretched/snapped cabling, etc.;· Electric fencing – wall top & freestanding, energizers – all makes & models;· CCTV (Analog & IP);· Alarm systems;· Intercoms. SECONDARY FUNCTION: Either repair to, and or, replacement and reprogramming (if applicable) of the above including, if needed, the installation of the above from scratch. NON NEGOTIABLE:• Being fluent in English (Read, write & speak);• Having a valid unendorsed driving license (Minimum 2 years);• Obviously able to weld;• Neat handwriting as documentation/invoicing gets done on-site;• Able to do arithmetic, as in certain instances, additional invoicing gets done on-site;• Contactable references are a must;• It goes without saying that you are able to work independently and handle extreme pressure at times. REQUIREMENTS: • The successful candidate must be of sober habits with at least 7 years’ installation/repair experience as applicable;• Preference is given to applicants living within a 5 km radius of our offices.
