Senior Accountant Isando Johannesburg East Gauteng

Our manufacturing and supply chain client in Isando East Rand Johannesburg is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with 8-10 years plus experience in full accounting and payroll control. Be able to manage a team of 7 finance staff ranging from creditors clerks, debtors clerks, credit controllers, payroll clerks, and bookkeepers. Accountants need to come from a production, manufacturing, and supply chain industry environment.

Min Requirements

A Financial/Accounting degree
At least 8-10 years working experience in full accounting as lead within a manufacturing industry
Qualified in SAIPA or SAICA a Bonus
Managing and supervising of staff
Financial Software Driven SAGE X3, VIP PAYROLL, EXCEL AND MICROSOFT DYNAMICS

Responsibilities

Management and supervision of accounts department
Input, processing and management of the General Ledger function
Computation of VAT, Tax, PAYE and submission to tax authorities
Production, reconciliation and analysis of monthly management accounts, including detailed analysis and critical point summary
Reconciliation of loan accounts
Stock count valuation report
Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation
Current asset management, including debtor’s collections
Foreign Currency Revaluation
Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled
Producing annual budgets and forecasts
Cash flow management
Managing and overseeing Monthly payroll processing, bi-annual filings and IRP5 EMP501 submissions.
Accountability and administration of XERO, and SimplePay systems (Financial, inventory and payroll systems)
Credit recon reviews and approval of supplier accounts
Managing bank accounts and clearing funds (including payment gateways and international bank accounts)
Management of the financial aspects of Key Account Cost Accounting
