Our client is seeking an exceptional individual to join their team in a role as an Accountant. The candidate must have at least 5 years' working experience with a minimum of 3 years' practice experience. KEY PERFORMANCE: Bank Reconciliations. Customer Reconciliations. Generating invoices. Fixed Asset Register. COIDA. Stock Reconciliations. Process Payroll – Fringe Benefits and allowances, Technical and Bargain Council. PAYE, VAT, UIF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Arrangement of all resources towards achievement of all objectives. Meeting our obligation to clients. Ensure compliance. Build and maintain a strong relationship with clients. Promote the company the company brand. Identify other revenue generating opportunities. Ensure all internal and external deadlines are met. Acknowledge all written communication. Client liaison. Escalate any delays in getting information. Remind and inform clients about any statutory deadlines and information. Provide feedback and timely reporting on all activities to relevant stakeholders. Assisting the juniors with accounting standard queries and processes. REQUIREMENTS: Matric certificate. Computer literate. Independent. Good time management. Degree/Diploma in Accounting. Fluent in English. XERO Pastel Partner. Pastel Evolution. SAGE VIP Payroll. Efiling. Easy File. EXPEIRNCE: VAT applicability. VAT Zero rated. VAT Exempt. Tax Rates. Customs VAT. Depreciation Methods. Provisional tax calculation (deductions) Bad debts & doubtful debts. Gross Profit ratio. Operating Cost & Profit ratio. Net profit ratio. Current ratio. Quick ratio. Debt-to-enquiry ratio. Stock turnover. Inventory ratio. Debtors' & Creditors' turnover. ROI ratio. Deferred tax.
