Senior Art Director - North Johannesburg

An award-winning agency, best known for its exciting brand activations, is looking for a Senior Art Director to join its busy studio. The right person for the role is highly experienced in activations , as well as in TTL and digital media. Successful candidates will be required to execute a test brief as part of the interview process, including mock-ups of creative work. What the role entails: Ideating original concepts that will translate into impactful, award-winning communications across multiple channels (see above) Designing high quality creative and seamlessly adapting key visuals across these channels Driving your own jobs from concept to mock-ups to final crafted elements Applying expert crafting skills and eagle-eyed attention to detail in every job Solid self management and fast turnaround times Driving the overall quality of creative output, in line with client briefs and within stipulated deadlines and budgets Presenting work in compelling ways, both internally and externally Guiding and overseeing the work of other creatives in studio, playing the role of mentor where possible Partaking in creative reviews and substantiating criticism with valid arguments and constructive advice Helping to attract and retain top creative talent Preparing final elements for production The right person for the role: Is specifically experienced in activations and experiential marketing, but has broad knowledge across TTL and digital media Is highly adept at conceptual thinking as well as designing and crafting Has strong presentation skills Has sharp DTP and finished art skills Is up-to-date with current trends and industry developments Is an inspiring team leader with good communication skills Is drama-free, friendly, reliable and accessible Works well under pressure Has an entrepreneurial spirit Other requirements: Relevant degree or diploma An impressive portfolio of activations, TTL and digital work (the more process work you can show for your activations, the better) NB: Candidates must include additional notes detailing their full contribution to each portfolio project Sound knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign 3D knowledge will be a big bonus
