Senior Budget and Financial Manager - Johannesburg

Main purpose of the job:To lead a team responsible for budget management, financial analysis, and strategic partnerships within the Group Finance Shared Services division. They will oversee the development and execution of financial plans, collaborate with business units to align financial strategies, and ensure adherence to corporate financial policies.Minimum education and experience;CA (SA)5 - 10 years’ experience in financial planning, budget management, and business partnering roles.Critical competencies:Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing teamExceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, synthesize insights, and conduct scenario analysisProficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel)Budgeting and financial modelling skillsAttention to detail and commitment to accuracy and data integritySound and current accounting knowledge and familiarity with IFRSAdditional critical competencies:Strong Business acumenExcellent communication skills (verbal and written), including conflict management skillsArticulate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner with diverse audiencesCollaborative and cross-functional mindset to work effectively with various teams and business unitsKnowledge and understanding of relevant legislationPerformance management skillsProblem-solving skillsReport writing skillsBehavioural attributes:Problem-solving abilitiesIntegrityInitiativeStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing circumstances See Description See Description
