Senior Buying/Sales Administrator - South Africa

The Company currently has a vacancy for a reliable, attentive to detail and, efficient individual to join the Buying/Sales team . The successful candidate should have in-depth understanding of all administrative procedures and processes required in order to ensure the smooth operational running of the department. Duties and responsibilities include: Work closely with the Buying department and Management to plan, coordinate and deliver quality customer service Managing verifying, updating and maintaining customer/dealer information and related documentation Managing customer collection process and keeping the customers abreast of any changes Liaising with customers/dealers daily with any price changes and assisting with quotations Liaising with various internal departments such as Payments, the Cash office, Production and the transport division to ensure the smooth flow of operations Screen new leads – determine viability or make recommendations Handle and seek to resolve any load queries Managing daily capturing and distribution of tonnage reports Maintaining multiple administrative tasks e.g. typing letters, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, extracting reports and information on various office packages Reviewing and managing office systems to efficiently deal with the paper and process flow of the Buyers/Scrap Metal Representatives and the department Adhoc duties include verifying time and attendance, drafting, verifying and editing departmental documentation, processing of invoices on an in-house payment system, ordering stationary on in-house system Qualifying Experience: Grade 12 or equivalent Secretarial/Office Administration course Diploma/ Certificate At least 5 - 8years’ experience in a similar role Background in sales administration environment is preferred Customer service orientated Knowledge of commodities Qualifying Attributes Strong telephonic etiquette Excellent planning, organisational, and decision-making skills Excellent oral and written communication skills on all levels Professional attitude Confidentiality, tact and discretion essential Computer Literacy viz. Microsoft Office Suit Ability to work within a team and independently Ability to multi-task and manage demanding workload in a pressurised environment Display a professional work approach Logical and detail orientated methodologies Excellent standards in execution Excellent problem solving skills coupled with the ability to think on your feet Commitment to a strong business ethic and integrity Apply Now
