The Senior Coordinator, Student Support and Admissions coordinates the daily activities of the Office of Student Support at the School of Medicine at Temple University/St. Luke's University Health Network. Contributes to an office that fosters medical students' personal and professional development through academic support and advising, career development, student health and wellness, student organizations, leadership and service opportunities. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supports department operations and project management, particularly as it pertains to student affairs programming, services, and initiatives. Develops, implements and documents processes and procedures, particularly related to the MD program. Provides direct supervision over the Student Support Coordinator Oversee Student Support events and programs such as: Transitions courses (Transition to Medical School, Transition to Phase 2, Transition to Residency); Class Meetings; Residency Day & Residency Information sessions. Develop slides decks for presentations and give presentations Supports coordination of the Admissions day schedule with the admissions coordinator Develops and implements marketing strategy for MD program including liaison to local pre-health advisors, luncheons, tours and pre-health events Partners with the Manager of Medical Education Participates on LKSOM and University committees. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 3 hours at a time, frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands; uses upper extremities to rarely lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally stoops, bends or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation, seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and vision monotony. EDUCATION: Master's Degree Preferred or bachelor's degree with related experience. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in an academic and/or teaching hospital setting; experience in undergraduate medical education preferred.
