Purpose:Booking of orders for export with various shipping lines & ensuring that all waiver notes & customs entries are processed on time. Customs clearing import ships. Managing of rebate materials and ability to do correct submissions to SARS.Responsibilities will include liaising with shipping lines, SARS, Waiver agencies, internal teams such as production, warehouse, procurement, and finance.Requirements:MatricCertification in Customs Clearing & ForwardingLogistics Diploma will be an advantageIntermediate Excel5 – 10 years in Operations through Export activities for Medium / Large business.Good mathematical and analytical skill setsSolid Clearing and Forwarding Exports experience required.Sound knowledge of shipping documents & procedures requiredDuties include: Registration of shipments in ACSFrame & EDI Bills of Entries (Import / Export - Sea freight, Airfreight, Road freight & Rail) to SARS within the prescribed period according to the SARS ActSubmission of Cargo DuesFluent in Tariff Heading DeterminationProcessing of VOC's, Customs Refunds & AcquittalsCheck the accuracy of source documentsYou are expected to sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered, as well as locate and correct data entry errorsProcessing of Certificate of Origins, EUR1, SADC and GSP certificatesKnowledge of Break Bulk & Bulk ShipmentsArrange Port Health, Plant Inspector, State Vet and NRCS ReleasesHandle all Customs, SAPS and Borders police Stops until it is ReleasedSubmission of relevant documents to the Shipping Lines for final release and Navis updateKnowledge of Import / Export Control Act - Prohibited & Restricted goodsApplication of Import / Export Permits to the relevant departmentsHandling goods with rebateKeeping track of all shipping costs incurred per shipmentStaying abreast of Industry changesAnd any other duties/tasks relevant to the position as delegated by Management
