Team Summary Co-brand is a significant part of the CEMEA Visa business with significant payment volume and revenue being recognized through a co-brand proposition. The CEMEA co-brand business development team is a critical sales and subject matter expertise function with the purpose of ensuring delivery of all co-brand goals across the entire CEMEA region from new business development to optimization of existing partnerships. CEMEA Co-brand partnerships at Visa: The head of Co-brand partnerships CEMEA will be responsible for driving and enhancing the Visa co-brand business and strategy across the entire CEMEA region (80 markets), from new business development to existing portfolios. This will be achieved via truly innovative thinking by challenging the existing possibilities for our clients and Visa, and leading the overall commercialization of Visa’s business development objectives for co-brand. Business Development activities include deal structuring and strategy, negotiating contractual agreements with clients, driving the expansion of Visa products and solutions through Visa value added services, and generally broadening the scope of our business with these clients. This role will report directly to the Head of Global Co-Brand and Partnership Development and dual line into the Head of MSA CEMEA, while leading a team of 4 people. This role will collaborate with key executive leadership from functions across Visa such as merchant sales leaders, issuer account leaders, product teams, marketing, acquiring, technology, and customer support. Externally, this role will collaborate with senior executives at key merchants, issuers and consultants. Why this is important to Visa This is a critical role to Visa as the Senior Director of Co-brand partnerships CEMEA will own and be responsible for delivery of significant sales and in year revenue targets. These will be delivered through deep interactions with senior clients across merchants, fintechs and issuing partners, along with significant collaboration with internal market, regional and global cross functional stakeholders. Job Description What you will need: Extensive payments industry experience with a strong partnership focus combined with a deep perspective on the trends influencing the industry. A minimum of 10 years business experience with related sales and management experience is expected. Deep Co-brand experience, fluent in Co-brand business development and/or program management best practices along with implications for issuers, networks and merchant. Proven people leader that has demonstrated ability to inspire success, set priorities, remove barriers and build an inclusive organizational culture. Co-brand issuer, merchant or network experience managing a co brand portfolio P&L; preferably across a variety of markets and relevant industries such as airline, retail and ecommerce. Deep knowledge of payment economics and partnership structures with analytic orientation and viewpoint on emerging partnership trends. Strong executive presence and exceptional communication skills in English. Demonstrated experience building and leveraging strong relationships within client organizations. Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and experience exploring transformational ideas from conceptualization to commercialization. Proven record of accomplishment of successful sales and relationship management with experience developing and managing a pipeline of initiatives and driving commercial results. Projects you will be a part of: Accountable for the design of the CEMEA Co-brand ‘Go to Market Strategy’, leading the development of Co-brand opportunity prioritization, sales strategy, cross functional collaboration and annual business plan Develop and manage the CEMEA Co-brand sales pipeline for new, attack and renew opportunities including the definition, prioritization, tracking and reporting of Co-brand opportunities. Lead Co-brand business development activities with merchants, issuers and consultants: prospecting, lead development, and active selling for profitable Co-brand opportunities Support the expansion of new partnerships through the cross selling of VAS products and services to create a comprehensive, deep partnership with Visa merchants Collaborate with internal Visa partners, i.e., in market issuing teams, to identify opportunities and deliver coordinated business development efforts across Co-brand and complementary products and solutions. Lead negotiations with Co-brand partners that reflect the strategic nature of Co-brand relationships Serve as a center-of-excellence within Visa CEMEA for all cobrand-related issues/opportunities. Help craft and sell the partner narrative & the Visa differentiation story for cobranding. Lead strategic initiatives that define Visa’s long-term approach and demonstrate thought leadership to our partners Serve as internal and external thought leader responsible for communicating Visa's Co-brand and partnership vision, strategy and perspective within a rapidly evolving industry Lead a high performing team, set clear objectives and provide guidance and support to achieve the organization’s goals Qualifications What will also help: Demonstrated ability to follow through on strategies and deliver tangible business results. Excellent collaborator and natural team player with superb influencing and interpersonal skills. Experience leading cross-functional teams promoting a shared vision and delivering as a single team. Proven ability negotiating business agreements and ability to develop new business partnerships. Consulting experience, consumer loyalty management and/or coalition loyalty experience desired.
