Minimum requirements:

Grade 12 Senior Certificate
Degree in Accounting (NQF 7)
Ideal: Professional Registration with a recognized Accounting professional body (SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA) and others
5+ Years proven experience in a similar role, of which 2 years' on a Supervisory level
Must reside in or near Centurion

Levies income reconciliation (Bank vs Pastel)
Investment of all surplus funds
Recording of Councils expenses as they occur
Recovery of amounts receivable within 120 days of invoice date
Compliance with recording and allocating cashbook transactions to the correct accounts
Staff and Panelists Payroll administration
Monthly management reports
Interim Financial Statements ready for FinCom review before mid- year review date
Timely submission of Annual Financial Statements for Audit purposes
Addressing of Audit funding
To manage the financial aspect of all departments planned and/or ad hoc projects
To assist other departments with costing and management of their planned and or ad hoc projects
To assist in the management and coordination of departmental day to day administration
To implement the procedure manual
