Description Senior Financial Accountant – Team Leader/Manager Our client is a UK-based broadband provider that specializes in offering full-fibre internet services. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work remotely for a stable, international company. Duties and Responsibilities Month-End Accounting Processes Manage month-end close against timetable. Deliver the month-end close accurately and efficiently. Review the production of the financial statements. Review the balance sheet reconciliations. Ensure adherence to accounting standards. Maintain accounting policies and procedures. Act as primary contact for auditors during interim and year-end audits. Review the output of the AP team and ensure improvements where required for reporting or control purposes. Work with the warehouse and inventory management teams to ensure appropriate controls and procedures are in place. Take part in UAT for developments of the ERP (D365) and other key systems (billing – Hobs, reporting – Domo etc.) Engage directly with the Commercial Finance Team to provide suitable information to enable them to prepare detailed month-end commentary and to prepare detailed budgets and forecasts. Prepare the first version of the monthly Management Accounts in Excel and Powerpoint Support the FD in ensuring VAT and other taxes are correctly accounted for. Lead the detailed departmental spend vs budget review meeting with each department head, monthly Qualifications and Experience Qualified accountant Experience leading a team of qualified accountants. Experience in a financial control environment, including P2P processes, monthly management accounts vs budget, and annual statutory reporting and audit. Experience with D365 preferred but demonstrable expertise in other ERPs acceptable. Hands-on problem-solving attitude takes the initiative to identify problems and propose solutions. Telecommunications, manufacturing, or retail background preferred: other detail-oriented industries with complex financial processes acceptable. Measured on Delivery of objectives Accuracy, efficiency and inquisitiveness Feedback from stakeholders Remuneration Between R70 000 and R85 000 cost to company per month.
