A large consulting company with offices across the country is looking for a Senior Fire Engineer to join their dynamic, growing team in Cape Town. This position offers the opportunity to work on large complex projects in an exceptional environment. Minimum requirements: BSc/BEng, or MSc/Meng, or B.Tech /MTech in Engineering Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech would be highly advantageous Minimum of 5 or more years' experience as a Fire Engineer / Technologist within an Engineering Consulting firm. Experience gained in a consulting environment working on MEP Building Services Great comprehension of BS EN, NFPA, and SANS Standards. Experience with CFD, Evacuation simulations and computational rational designs Your responsibilities will include: Attending to the full range of design aspects relating to rational fire designs Reviewing site, construction, sprinkler, fire alarm, and all other system plans to ensure that they conform to the applicable regulations, standards, and codes. Designing sprinkler systems, fire main installations, detection and alarm systems, smoke control systems, and other fire protection components. Developing briefs seeking approval for code equivalency.
