Position: Senior Health & Safety Manager Location: Gauteng, South Africa Industry: Mining RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Health & Safety Manager to join their team in the mining industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Health & Safety programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational standards. Responsibilities: Develop and implement Health & Safety policies, procedures, and programs to promote a safe working environment Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks Monitor and evaluate Health & Safety performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary Provide training and support to employees on Health & Safety practices and procedures Collaborate with management and other stakeholders to promote a culture of Health & Safety awareness and compliance Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement Lead and manage a team of Health & Safety professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives Essential Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in Health & Safety management the mining industry Experience in conducting detailed investigations. Experience in crisis management, emergency preparedness and response.
