Senior HR Officer Closing Date : 2024-04-05 Closed : No Description: Our client, a Group consisting of two companies (transport company & farm) situated in Wellington (Western Cape), has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, confident, and hands-on Senior HR Officer to join their growing team and set up the HR department within the organisation. The successful candidate has exceptional interpersonal skills (Afrikaans & English) to work with all levels of employees, paired with a focus on effective personnel and admin management. The incumbent will report to the General Manager and be responsible for: handling time & attendance matters benefits administration personnel records & administration handling of industrial relations matters (including daily discipline management) performance evaluations recruitment, selection, & induction employment equity planning & coordination of training reporting daily HR operations assistance with wages & payroll ad-hoc & administrative tasks related to finance department all other tasks related to the role. Minimum requirements: Diploma/Degree in Human Resources or related field; Minimum 3 years' relevant HR & administrative experience (time & attendance experience essential); Labour legislation knowledge with application in the transport & agricultural industries; Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel); Valid driver’s license and reliable own transport. Advantageous: Payroll experience; Experience working in a unionised work environment.
