A Luxury Destination Management Company (DMC) based in Heidelberg, Gauteng are currently seeking a SENIOR TOUR CONSULTANT. Specializing in crafting exceptional experiences for discerning travelers from around the world, with a primary focus on the North American market. Our team takes pride in curating bespoke journeys through Southern & East Africa that leave lasting impressions. Role Description: This is a full-time role for an Inbound Tour Consultant with experience in the luxury travel market. The role entails providing outstanding inbound travel services to our clients, including itinerary planning, managing bookings, and providing accurate travel documentation and information. Additionally, maintaining relationships with suppliers and handling any issues that may arise while clients are traveling are key responsibilities. Responsibilities: Plan, quote, and design journeys throughout Southern and East Africa accurately and efficiently. Manage all aspects of tours from quoting through to post-tour file closure. Ensure smooth operation of in-country guest tours and handle any issues that may arise. Be available for in-country guests after hours while they are traveling. Maintain accurate tour administration and documentation. Coordinate all services and bookings for tours, including invoicing and payments. Reconfirm all services prior to travel and prepare travel documents. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a luxury inbound travel consultant. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-profile clients and agents. Knowledge of luxury travel destinations, accommodations, and experiences in Southern and/or East Africa. Proficiency in Tourplan is essential. Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently. Crisis management and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle high volumes of work without compromising accuracy. Working with a sense of urgency and meeting deadlines. Salary: Competitive and market-related, commensurate with experience in the luxury travel industry. Commission-based incentives are included. Ideal candidates will be situated in the Vaal Triangle / East Rand.
