EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE FACULTY OF ECONOMIC & FINANCIAL SCIENCES Applications are hereby invited for the following position SENIOR LECTURER PEROMNES – P7, PERMANE REFERENCE NO: WSU MTH INT 2024/44 Lecturing Financial Accounting/Management Accounting/Financial Management up to level 8 Lecturing any other accounting related subjects up to level 8 Conduct and lead research in the department and faculty. Supervising research and monitoring students. Mentoring of junior staff members. Perform administrative duties attached to the position. Practice community involvement. Skills and Competencies Required: Expertise in subject areas Proven lecturing/teaching skills Proven research skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent preparation and organisational skills. Sound professional ethics and work ethics. Good interpersonal relationship: ability to work well with a range of people. Initiating skills: developing new programmes and projects. IT Skills: advanced user of computers, Microsoft office package and knowledge of technology assisted teaching. Team Player. Leadership skills. Self-driven and a lifelong learner. PhD/Doctoral degree in commerce (Accounting/Management Accounting/Financial Management) • Master's degree in commerce (Accounting/Management/Accounting/Financial Management) with a professional Accounting Qualification [CIMA/ACCA/CA(SA) An undergraduate degree in commerce with specialisation in Accounting or Management Accounting or Financial Management. A minimum of 5 years' experience in Teaching/lecturing in a tertiary education institution. A minimum of 3 years' experience of middle management in higher education A minimum of 3 years' experience in Research/Industry.
