A well-established Trailer Manufacturing company in Durban, KZN is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. Requirements: B-Tech / BSc / B-Eng (Mechanical) Engineering Degree from a reputable South African University. Experience working with Mid-Management Valid driver’s License with their own transport. Good Communication skills & able to work under pressure. Exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities Include: Product design and development, Trailer design would be an advantage. Production pack compilation, existing of the information required to produce the product. Plant and machine design Project management 2D & 3D Cad Package, 3 Years Experience. Geometric Modelling, Experience with Solid works would be an advantage. HTM Weight Distribution Module Road Traffic Acts/Laws/Knowledge Understanding of Commercial Automobiles Failure analysis, FEA knowledge would be an advantage. Manage spreadsheets Microsoft Excel. Manage and maintain the Bill of Material for various builds. Basic coding (Visual basic, Microsoft excel) background will be an advantage. Networking servers (IP’s) would be an advantage.
