Senior Mechanical Draughtsman - Gauteng
A Leader in the industry based in Killarney Gardens, is in search of an experienced Snr Mechanical Draughtsman with a hands-on approach to form part of their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the following: • Carry out detailed drafting work including translating conceptual designs into detailed engineering drawings. Producing accurate, complete and concise drawings. Draw Parts, Drawings & make assemblies. • Transference of files effectively and accurately. Prepare technical drawings for sheet metal parts (flat patterns). • Liaising closely with the manufacturing teams. Explain drawings to production teams and provide adjustments, as necessary. • Competent knowledge in manufacturing. • Reporting on the jobs progress and drawing completion. Ensuring timely completion of all allocated projects. Complying with project status updates – adjusting activities as needed to meet project timelines. • Ensuring conformance – to customer specifications, company standards as well as other regulation requirements. • Carries out the drafting requirements for new or existing projects. Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from colleagues to ensure that they conform to design concepts. Requirements: • Matric - Certificate to be attached. • National Diploma Mechanical Engineering / Certificate Draughting (Mechanical) - Certificate to be attached. • Computer Software: MS Office, 3D Modelling, Solidworks, AutoCad. • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills – fluent in Afrikaans & English. • Strong planning, organising, co-ordinating abilities. • Ability to think on one’s feet and multi-task. • Willingness to learn • Deadline orientated and work well under pressure. • Punctual and willing to work overtime. • Driver license with own reliable transportation.
