Senior Mechanical Draughtsman - Johannesburg
Job Description:
Generate precise technical engineering drawings using specialized computer-aided design (CAD) software for mechanical engineering, encompassing plans, elevations, and sections
Analyze and interpret engineering, architectural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to produce accurate drawings
Collaborate with project teams, engineers, or architects to incorporate feedback and ensure alignment with project requirements
Maintain organized drawing libraries and databases, ensuring proper filing of all drawings
Conduct quality control checks on drawings and plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
Provide technical support in design review meetings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
Skills & Experience:
At least 8 years of mechanical drafting experience
Familiarity with mechanical drafting standards and general engineering/architectural drawings and specifications
Proficient in industry-specific software/tools, including ACAD, Civil 3D, and/or Revit
Strong technical and analytical skills
Attention to detail is a key strength
Demonstrated ability to handle pressure effectively
Qualification:
Relevant diploma or certificate in mechanical drafting
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
