Assess client specifications Mechanical installation works costing Compile mechanical equipment RFQs Compile material take-offs Compile Scope of Works for mechanical subcontract, technical evaluations, and adjudications Assist with Procurement Attend kick-off meetings with vendors and mechanical subcontractors Assist with plant design layout Mechanical design Drafting Piping modelling Pipe stress analysis Pressure vessel design Design of piping supports Issue “Approved for Fabrication” drawings - sign off as Professional Engineer Liaise with and manage the flow of information between the Drawing Office, Mechanical Design Engineers, Fabricators, QC, Civil, Structural and Mechanical subcontractors Draft and check contracts Compile and manage as-built documentation Compile and manage vendor and subcontractor databooks Compile and manage plant technical and maintenance manuals Assist with site installation and commissioning Investigate corrective measures that may arise during the construction and warrantee period Degree: Mechanical Engineering / relevant ECSA registration: Professional Engineer (essential) 8 years' experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in turnkey projects / water / waste / energy projects CAD software ie., 3D Plant (advantageous) Excellent leadership skills Excellent communication skills Piping, steel, and infrastructure experience
